A fresh take on the Resident Evil franchise. This take leans more into horror-comedy, making it feel lighter. The story follows the standard outbreak flick formula, except the protagonist seems unimportant. This reboot also deviates from the standard zombie genre and creates something unique. The one-hour, thirty-four-minute runtime is quick, peppered with comedy, classic game tropes, and a story that feels inconsequential. At the very least, it is worth a stream, but it might go either way with diehard fans of the franchise.
