On the run from the Wizard, Elphaba does her best to expose the truth and protect the people of Oz, including the animals. Isolated from her friend, Glinda navigates the politics and tries her best to bring Elphaba back into the fold. In the end, both Glinda and Elphaba must work together to save Oz and bring a new era of peace across the land.
The ending of the Broadway adaptation of the hit musical. Given how the first movie ended, there was not much story left. The movie takes a bit of liberty, expanding on the story and Glinda, and may even pull some material from the novel on which the musical is based. There are plenty of songs throughout, and most are new, if not all of them. The two-hour, seventeen-minute runtime is excessive, making it drawn out. Diehard Wicked fans with knowledge of the novels and musical will enjoy this conclusion, while others may find it boring.
