After scam artists bamboozle her out of money and she grows tired of being treated like a baby, Thelma decides to take matters into her own hands. With the help of a friend and some common sense, she tracks down the culprits who swindled her, proving that she still has some usefulness left in her and that she is not wholly dependent and helpless.

This movie is genuinely the phrase "age is just a number." The film is funny and entertaining, has some action, and shows that you can do anything you want, regardless of age. The story sheds light on what it is like to age and how older adults struggle with aging, all while keeping it light. The movie gets to the point quickly and wraps it up nicely, using the entire runtime efficiently—a great movie to catch if you are looking for something original or are close to a grandparent.
