The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Mario and Luigi have set out to start their own plumbing business, but business is slow, like with any new startup. When there is a significant water main break, Mario thinks that saving the city will be their ticket to success. While investigating the sewers, they are sucked down a pipe, transported to another dimension, and separated. Mario lands in the Mushroom Kingdom and teams up with Princess Peach to find and save his brother and help her defeat Bowser.

A film that is a combination of many of Nintendo's flagship games. The story is simplistic and follows the standard children's movie arcs. For the parents, there are some nostalgic references to the games and characters. It is interesting how the filmmakers stitch them together. The movie is short, gets right to the point, and is fun for the whole family. This is an excellent movie for a night out with the family.
