Blacklisted by the Network and unable to find employment, a desperate father signs up for The Running Man, a game show, to give his daughter a better life. The rules of the show are simple: survive 30 days and win a life-changing prize.

This dystopian capitalist society reboot could have been better. The story is similar to the original and does pay a small homage to it, but not enough to make it amazing. The story missed opportunities to develop the characters, leaving them shallow. The action is entertaining and exhilarating, with some comedy peppered in. Given the lack of character development and story, the two-hour and thirteen-minute runtime feels long. Unfortunately, this movie is entertaining enough for a stream, but not worth a ticket.
