After being orphaned and left entirely alone and lost in grief, a boy stumbles into becoming the apprentice of a warrior and ends up in the world of beasts.

A fantastic anime with a story about growing up, getting through grief, and self-discovery. The animation is excellent and built around colorful characters and settings. The master-apprentice relationship adds a buddy comedy aspect. The one hour and fifty-nine minutes has slow parts and limited action, but by the end, it is worth watching.
