After finishing a successful tour, Bruce Springsteen rents a secluded house in his hometown to work on his next album. While the music executives want him to keep doing what is working, he is struggling with things from his childhood and using his music as an outlet, making it his top priority.
This biopic is a reenactment of the situation, method, and struggles Bruce Springsteen endured to get his Nebraska album released. The story does a great job of sharing multiple aspects of the history. It shares his internal emotional turmoil, the music business, his manager's role in the process, and the technical equipment used to make the unique album. The one hour and fifty-nine minute runtime does a good job of incorporating all those aspects into the story without getting bogged down in any particular one. An enjoyable stream to learn more about The Boss and this specific album.
