Sanctuary

Rebecca, a dominatrix, and Hal, her client, have played for months. After the passing of Hal's father, they are together once again, but this time, the script is oddly specific. After they are done, Hal informs Rebecca that he no longer needs her services. Unable to accept this, Rebecca lashes out at Hal, and their relationship becomes chaotic. As they navigate the treacherous waters, they must relinquish power and allow their true feelings to surface.

This film is labeled as a comedy but is a dark, twisted romance. The film shows how a potential dominatrix and submissive relationship could be - just another example of a relationship that people can have with one another. The film manages to be erotic without any nudity. The film is an excellent look into the complicated layers of human relationships involving love, sex, money, ambition, and desire.
