When she was a little girl, Roya Mahboob was not allowed to learn or use computers in her school in Afghanistan. Despite the rules, she taught herself to use a computer and code. Through her company, Roya continued to spread the importance of teaching girls how to code and use computers by opening computer centers in major cities. The process was slow-moving, and to make a significant change, she needed to make a global statement, so she decided to enter an all-girls team into international robotics competitions.

This inspirational movie is based on a true story. It shares what life was like in Afghanistan before, during, and after both the Taliban and US occupation. It also shows how trying to make a change can be difficult and, in this case, even dangerous. This movie has everything: culture, history, light comedy, inspiration, drama, and emotion. With a runtime of two hours, this story is beautifully told and is engaging and entertaining from beginning to end. This is a must-see for parents, young children, girls interested in STEM, and anyone who enjoys a good robot competition.
