A down-on-his-luck actor lands an unexpected role, playing whatever character a client requires. Skeptical at first, he let his own need for human connection help him excel in this new role.
A heartfelt and emotional film about the need for human connection, even if it is paid for. The culture clash is evident and helps propel the story forward. There is a bit of everything throughout: comedy, drama, and romance. The story explores different aspects of the human experience, all set against the differences between American and Japanese cultures. The one-hour and fifty-minute runtime is the perfect length to explore what it means to be connected to another human being. This is definitely an excellent watch that will make you think and feel, and is worth a ticket.
