Living out who she truly is, Moana travels the open seas, searching for new islands and people like her ancestors. After returning to her island, she has a vision that she must travel to the end of the ocean to find the cursed island her ancestors went out to discover. Moana embarks on a dangerous adventure with a motley crew to break the curse over the island and discover what she and her ancestors were searching for.

As far as sequels go, this is a great one. The story picks up where the first movie left off and has many similarities to the first while adding new characters and parts. The songs are not as catchy as the first. The runtime of one hour and forty minutes flies by as the story gets right to it and does not spend time on filler or fluff. The streamlined runtime is excellent for younger children and keeps their attention, but it does force the story to exclude details that would have made it intriguing. This movie is great for a family night out this holiday season.
