This award-contending film is intriguing and chaotic. Unlike other inspirational sports stories, this one is a dramatic, unhinged pursuit of a goal, no matter the cost. The story has multiple storylines occurring simultaneously, but not much backstory is given for any of them. The two-hour and twenty-nine-minute runtime is spent following the protagonist as he finesses his way toward his goal, and trying to make sense of the chaos and vague stories. The film is long, slow, ambiguous, and requires thought, and is not for every moviegoer, making it worth a stream if curious.
