With all the teachers and experienced sorcerers out for the count, Yuji Itadori struggles to end the Shibuya incident. Unfortunately, the curse users accomplished their goal and triggered events that will change sorcerer and non-sorcerer societies.

After more than a year of waiting, this highly anticipated season three lead-up is a mixed bag. The majority of the story is a recap of season two, some filler, and then a sliver of a glimpse of what to expect. The best part of that silver is the culmination of storylines and the potential of season three. As in previous seasons, the actions and animation are fantastic. The one hour and twenty-seven minute runtime is long for anyone who has recently finished season two or remembers season two. At the same time, those who have not seen it or need a refresher might find it entertaining. Definitely worth a watch, but justifying the price of a movie ticket is tough.
