Arthur Fleck, aka Joker, is standing trial for the murder of 5 people. As his lawyer tries to convince him and the world that he is mentally ill and needs help, the girl he falls for, Lee Quinzel, convinces him otherwise. Throwing caution to the wind, Arthur embraces his true self and attempts to defend himself in court.

The sequel to the dark, gritty origin story of Batman's archenemy is a complete disappointment. The story had some potential but ended up confusing, and unable to pick a topic to focus on. As many viewers were not expecting, the movie does have many songs and some dance sequences, which is entirely different than the first movie. The movie's runtime is two hours and eighteen minutes, and the movie feels longer, dragging on with many slow parts and unexpected songs. The best part of the movie is the ending, giving fans a glimpse of what could have been. This movie is not worth a ticket to the theater and may not even be worth a stream because of the current state of the DCU and if it will even be used in the larger storyline.
