The village of Berk is populated by the most brutal Vikings from around the world, who have the sole purpose of finding and killing dragons, except for the chief's son, Hiccup. Unlike the others and struggling to fit in, Hiccup's life changes when he captures the infamous Night Furry. With the help of Toothless, Hiccup learns about dragons, and that being himself makes him special.
This live-action remake of the classic is outstanding. The story stays faithful to the original, but there are some deviations. The dragons are well done, and the detail is impressive. The music is a mixture of the classic score and some new music. The action and flight sequences are also well done. The two-hour and five-minute runtime flies by quickly. Still, it can also feel long because the story is so close to the original, making it predictable. Regardless, this movie is an excellent watch for a family night out, introducing the next generation to this classic.
