To save the grove she grew up in, a young woman goes to the extreme measure of transplanting her consciousness into a robotic beaver. While one with the animals, she discovers more than she was expecting.

This is not a typical Pixar movie. The story is unique, delving into science fiction, nature, environmental issues, and grief. The story's tone is darker than expected, with some intense scenes that may not be suitable for younger children. The animation is outstanding as always, and a familiar approach is used to differentiate wild animals from personified ones. The one hour and forty-four minute runtime, with its darker moments, makes this movie suitable for older children. A fun movie for an outing with the kiddos.
