Fool's Paradise

A mentally ill patient and doppelganger for a Hollywood actor gets swept away in the limelight of show business. With the help of a struggling publicist, his star rises and falls in the blink of an eye. As the duo struggle to navigate the waters of Hollywood, they learn the truth about the business and themselves.

A Charlie Chaplin-style film in which the main character does not speak a single word but gets into situations entirely by accident. The comedy is a slow burn and may only be for some. There is some slap-stick comedy to give more of the silent film feel. The movie is short, but some parts drag on. The story is an interesting take on Hollywood and what it takes to be an actor. By the film's end, the title makes complete sense, and there is a sense of satisfaction in getting through it. This movie may not be for everyone, but it is worth a stream if you want something different to watch or are a fan of any of the numerous actors.
