A once up-and-coming basketball coach finally hits rock bottom when he drives his car into the back of a police cruiser after a night of drinking away his failures. The judge gives him two options, one would be serving time in prison, and the alternative would be 90 days of community service coaching a basketball team of adults with developmental disabilities. He begrudgingly starts coaching the team while working every angle to return to the NBA. Throughout the season and with the help of his team, he discovers there is more to himself and life than the career he has been pursuing.

The Hollywood adaptation of the Spanish film "Campeones" is a simple feel-good movie about a man redeeming himself with help from people different than himself. The representation in the film is impressive, including actors with various capabilities. The comedy is simple, heartfelt, and sure to get some laughs.
