Bones and All

A cannibal girl is abandoned by her father after she attacks a classmate and forces them to uproot their lives again. She is left with money, a birth certificate, a recorded tape from her father, and no information about her mother, her past, or why she has the urge to consume human flesh. She decides to go out into the world and look for answers, hoping to find them in the city she was born in. On this journey, she discovers she is not alone and that others are like her. She encounters a young man with her dietary needs and decides to travel across the country with him. As they travel together, they learn about each other, the different rules that govern their kind, and the harsh reality of the world.

A cannibalistic love story between two misunderstood souls who find each other and discover a sense of belonging. The story is solid, especially if it can make the viewers sympathize with characters who survive by consuming human flesh. The movie does have gory scenes, but not as graphic as some horror slasher films. The movie does have a bit of suspense. Still, it is more a drama than a horror or suspense movie, especially since there are cannibals involved. Being two-plus hours long, the film is engaging and presents a unique take on a classic coming-of-age story. I highly recommend watching this movie if you have the stomach for it.
