A young Bob Dylan from the Midwest leaves his small town and travels to New York. Aspiring to be a singer-songwriter, Bob Dylan sets out on a journey that changes the folk music genre and music in general, meeting and interacting with many music legends on the way.

This biopic of Bob Dylan focuses on the early years of his career. The story includes his relationships with many music icons that helped him become the legend he is today. The story also consists of much of his personal life, romantic relationships, and an insight into how he perceived the world, giving the audience a sense of how he ticked. The movie does an excellent job of sharing this story so that both music enthusiasts and not can enjoy it. The runtime is two hours and twenty-one minutes, and the movie cycles through parts of excitement and parts that are slow. It is a great movie for music lovers, history lovers, and anyone wanting to learn more about a music legend.
