Elio finds it challenging to connect with those around him and searches for it in the only place he thinks he belongs: space. After years of patiently waiting, he finally gets abducted. Travelling through the galaxy with his new friends, Elio learns that what you want is not always what you need.

This original Pixar movie is fantastic for all ages. The story, like many Pixar films, begins dark, but quickly evolves into a lighthearted family film. The story explores loss, grief, family, and belonging, which kids and adults both can relate to. The animation is beautifully done, and Pixar's take on space, aliens, and all things galactic is excellent. The one-hour and thirty-eight-minute runtime passes at the speed of light. Definitely a great family watch.
