Bea acts like an adult, while her father wants her to enjoy being a kid. While staying with her grandmother, she meets a peculiar man tasked with an unusual job: helping Imaginary Friends, IFs, figure out how to exist after their kids have moved on. She joins him on his quest and rediscovers what it means to be a kid while on it.

This movie, with its whimsical characters and the theme of imaginary friends, is primarily aimed at children. However, the depth of the subject matter and the character development make it equally appealing to young adults. The story bounces around a bit and needs to capture the full potential of the movie. There is a bit of slapstick comedy, some childish jokes, and a smidge of adult humor. There is also an equal amount of drama and emotion, which makes the movie heavier than expected. This movie is worth watching as a family night stream at home.
